The investment forms part of the estate and passes to heirs under Nigerian law, through executors or administrators, probate or letters of administration, and assent vesting in beneficiaries where applicable.

Your investment agreement should name a designated beneficiary (next of kin) for a clear heir to acre rights. A valid will or trust reduces disputes. The agreement includes succession provisions so profit-share entitlement can continue for the estate or heirs after the right legal steps are completed.

• Heirs generally receive profit shares from Year 4 onward, aligned with the original investor, after proof of inheritance (e.g. Letter of Administration, Grant of Probate, or Assent).

You may transfer internally: sell back to TerraYield Agro or to another approved investor. The company facilitates transfer with up-to-date documentation and buyer approval.

• A 5% transfer fee applies on the sale price (administration and legal).
• No resale or transfer until after Year 3 (before first harvest). From Year 4, resale is allowed under the internal transfer policy, using official assignment documents.

Investors receive a land allocation certificate and a detailed profit-sharing agreement. The certificate reflects allocation of a specific acre, backed by a survey plan, described as economic title to that acre.

• The sale and profit-sharing agreement is the legal commitment to share yearly harvest profits on a 70% investor / 30% company basis.
• You also receive survey plan extracts and allocation documentation that state location and boundaries.

Palm oil prices are volatile and driven by global supply and demand, weather, and policy. Returns are market-dependent and not guaranteed; projections use conservative assumptions rather than fixed ROI promises.

• Projections may use conservative fresh fruit bunch pricing (e.g. around ₦250k–₦300k per tonne) as a buffer below historical peaks.
• Operations can adjust storage and timing of sales to mills and buyers, and product mix (palm oil and palm kernel) can help offset weakness in one market.

Mitigation combines physical measures (fencing, gates, patrols, possible trained security), local employment so communities have a stake, engagement with authorities, and exploration of insurance where suitable and cost-effective.

• Government programmes such as agro rangers (where applicable) and coordination with local law enforcement support farmland protection.
• National Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC) and broader agri-insurance options may cover risks such as fire, theft, or crop failure where appropriate.
